All of the manholes were blown out and the damage to the sewer cannot a* present be estimated The cause of the leak has been definitely ascer tained by Inspector McCabe to b* due to a defective valve on the tank car and It I* hoped the city will be able to fix the responsibility where It belongs and recover damages there for. In the meantime the pavement and sewer must be repaired and work of repair has already progressed to a considerable extent.
