Mr. Leopold Marks died atDu
rant on Sunday night from the effect
of . an overdose of morphine,
and his remains were brought
to this city on Tuesday, and interred
in tbe Jewish cemetery. Mr. Marks
was a young man of good habits aud
re pa tat ion, and it is reasonable to
infer that the fatal dose was takteu
by mistake, as no known cause exist
ed why he should have intentionally
committed suicide.
