Here is a trio of onion dishes, each using corn chips to accent the flavor of the other ingredients with the unmatched goodness of toasted corn. “FRITOS” ONIONS 6 large onions H cup crushed “Fritos” corn chips (measured after crush ing) 1 tsp. chopped parsley 2 tsp. melted butter or mar garine H cup hot water ’•i cup ground (left-over) meat Directions: Peel onions, slice off tops, and re move centers. Boil gently for 10 minutes, drain. Mix corn chips, ground meat, and seasonings. Fill onions with mixture, place in bak ing dish with hot water and butter or margarine. Bake at 350 degrees basting occasionally. When nearly done sprinkle with crushed corn chips and brown. Bako the dressed-up franks about 10 minutes in a hot oven and serve immediately with a hot mustard or tomato sauce. STUFFED FRANKFURTERS Melt margarine or butter in a fry- 1 lb. frankfurters ing pan. Add onion, celery, parsley, >4 cup margarine or butter and basil and cook until onion and 14 cup minced onion celery are tender.
