The married ladies at "Tan Verein" are eloquently described by an anient admirer, in a communication to 'I'm-: OLARIOK. The terms "lovelv," "fair," "handsome," "elegant," "bright," etc., are most judiciously employed, ill our judgment, and the same might have ap peared had the author not forgotten to enclose his name. No mention is made of the young ladies, on the ground that the "maidens fair always get their share." They might not think so, to be omitted in a faithful chronicle of an occasion so specially interesting. The hall given by the Tan.-Verein Friday night was largely attended, and everything passed oil' pleasantly. The Sun, whilo it fur nishes a live and geuerally acceptable newspaper at a very low rate, expends a great deal of money to advertise the fact. This is one of the secrets of its success. The Sun believes that every man should subscribe for and liberally support his local newspaper first and foremost.
