A Few of the Contents of This Most Interesting "Work. The work on the "ITawaiiau Revolution " is going ahead rapidly. The patron list is a strong one, headed by President Dole. It will contain, among other things, the following articles : Professor Alexanders histories of the reigns of Kalakaua and Liliuokalani, brief histories of the Revolution of 1S93 aud the Provisional Government to date, the correspondence between President Dole and Minister Willis, Thurston's protest in Washington- and his statement of the Hawaiian case. President Dole's specifications, Senator Morgan's report, and the Senate's action on the Hawaiian matter. The price of the book will not exceed sixty cents as.d will probably be only half a dollar. It will have an elaborate fancy cover, and will be a work that will be a and necessary addition to everv librarv. Opium ut the Settlement. A letter from R. W. Meyer, the superintendent of the leper settlement, was read at the meeting of the Board of Health yesterday, stating that there had been two packages of opium found at the settlement, that had evidently been smuggled in. The same Minister presented a petition from the Hawaiian Evangelical Association opposing Sunday band concerts, aud protesting against Sunday shootinsr. Tabled for consideration with any bill on the subject. The President stated that the Government had nothing whatever to do with the Sunday shooting. Minister Damon presented the Weekly Financial Statement . The report was received and placed on file. KEPOKTS,. Mr. Tenney reported for the Committee ou Cninese legislation, presenting a substitute bill, which had been printed aud distributed to all the members of tbe committee.
