Bradley Before an improvised altar of palms, Miss Dorothy Mae Ander son, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Anderson and granddaugh ter of Mr. Turner J. Starks of 743 Carroll avenue, became the bride of Mr. George Stancell, in a beauti ful and impressive ceremony in the home of her parents, Tuesday eve ning, June 23, at 7:30 p. m., in the company of a small group of rela tives and friends. Rev. Carlyle Fielding Stewart read the service. The bride was attended by her cousin, Miss Helen Grace Mann, as maid of honor, and her twin cous ins, the Misses Jewel and Pearl Mann, as bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Mr. Richard Mann, cousin of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Stancell are residing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Ray mond of 654 Rondo street. Friday evening, June 19, the Vagabond Social Club entertained at their annual Gingham Formal at the Hallie Q. Brown Community House. Dancing was in vogue from 10 p. m. to 2 a. m. Mrs. Hazel Butler is the club adviser. The House was beautifully dec orated for the occasion. The girls were attractively gowned in cot ton formals and most of the men were attired in white suits.
