In the last hour the market was stronger and the net result of the hour's busi ness was an advance of %@\% per cent., the latter for Pacific Mail. New York & New Eng land, which sold low at 80% yee'erday, sold at 83>£ in the last hour to-day. Western Union Telegraph, Lake Shore, Missouri, Kansas & Tex as, Central Pacific, Canada Southern, Chicago, Burlington & Quincy, Missouri Pacific, New York Central, Paoific Mail, Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul and Texas Pacific all sold at the high est prices of the day in tho last hour, these prices being 3^@l/4 per cent, higher than the closing prices Thursday night.
