Sun River Creamery. Prospector Tikoii To Falls Hospital "Peter" Peterson a prospector ana rancher on Logging Creek for the last 80 years is a patient at the Dea coness hospital. He eras brought to the city Tuesday by his wife ing with a paralysis of toe lags. Mr* Peterson returned to Logging Creek Friday. Mr. Peterson will remain in the hospital hem for treatment until he can be admitted to the Battle mount Sanitarium in South Dakota, He is one of the pioneer residents of this part of the state and well known to the early settler» of Great Falls. He served under Captain John Moran in the Spaniah-American war and because of this service is elegible to admittance at the Battlemoum Sanitarium. Mr. Peterson has been in failing health for the last tw*> years. T There has been quite a family re union at the home of A. 6. Hay Armington recently Edgar has been there and Kenneth who is doing well at the insurance business to Idaho drove home to see him. Then Lome dropped in and the boys and their parents enjoyed a good visit until beame necessary for Kenneth to go back to his work. Deputy King Gets 4th of July Thief Deputy Sheriff Charles King has palled off a highly creditable piece of work in the detection of the rob ber of the homes of Archie Robert son. S. S. Johnson, Will Irvin and Frank Shirley of the Tiger Butte road. This robbery was committed on the Fourth of July ami the loot ran from cash to clothing, jewelry The only dew which King had to work on was that the thioves drove Some owners of Oakland cars were at once elimina ted from the possibilities but he kept his eyes open and finally at the time of the arrest of C. F. (Whltey) Mor an for stealing wheat at Eden, King discovered that be had been driving an Oakland car. Starting from this point a visit was made to the pawn shops in Great Falls to If of the stolen tides had been pawned there, Noth tog was found. Finally it was discovered that a rifle, the prop e rty of Archie Robert son, had been left with the proprietor of a rooming house as a pledge fat From this time on, a room rent, little at a time, the stolen articles were recovered. One watch had been given for a gambling debt another watch had been sold to a cook and so on. At present writing nearly every thing has been recovered except the money and Mr. King expects to re rover that soon. LARGE CROWD ATTENDS CARNIVAL AT RATNESFMO SATURDAY RIGHT t i The Wild-West and Carnival Dance at Rayneaford last Saturday night drew a large crowd. The affair had been well-advertised. Besides of the Times, posters of surpassing merit had been painted by D. W. Continued rain for nearly a week had raised havoc with all dirt roads but on Saturday morn tag the sun came out and that and a gentle breese changed the roads from impossible to passable The crossroads in the Raynesford section were difficult and those whs braved them put to a tong shift at the wheel. The lower road from Belt to Raynesford was unexpectedly good from the mouth of Otter creek to the Rioux (dace and after that it wa* slow driving.
