Remington J every week until after the ba ; Last Thursday evening there was a special meeting of the local chapter of the Eastern Star to welcome their grand matron who was making her official visit to this chapter. The Grand Matron's address was very in struct!ve and was enjoyed by aU h« audience. The speaker was afterwards presented with a beautiful piece Madeira linen and a corsage bouquet. Mrs. Culver, worthy matron was pre sented with flowers and Mrs. Brown ! ing was given a beautiful Eastern i Star ring in appreciation of her faith 1 fulness as secretary. Morris has received word of the death of her maternal grand father, Chartes Turkey at Cass City, Michigan. He died one week ago at the age of 96 years. Mrs. C. W. John Magnuson and his son Herbert Magnuson were Belt visitors from Rocky Ridge yesterday and were de lighted with the climate down here.
