I * Farmers & Miners State Bank *> Friday evening a bunch of the girl friends gave a surprise party for Paul ine Yurko at the home of her sister, Mrs. Paul Zemanck. Some trouble was experienced in locating the honor guest but finally this was accomplish ed and they spent the evening play ing cards. Madeline Spogen won the honors at this and Genevieve Schroea er won the low prise. Local Items of Belt i ' and Vicinity One of the most delightful affairs j of the season was given at the home : of Mrs Ray Wilson when she together with Mrs. Sam Wilson oa Saturday night entertained at cards. Five tables were at play, the prise for high score going to Mrs. Le veille while Mrsr Sampson carried away the low prise. The cut prise was won by Mrs. Spogen. When the guests arrived each was given a number, the lucky num ber winning a prise for the holder which was found to be Mrs. Nelson. A tasty and attractive lunch was served at the close of the evenM» The guests were Mes. Clergy, Remis Leveille, Remington, Staffel, Noble, Wilson, Spogen, Rush, Sampson, Fluhr, Provin, Morrow, Nohl, Culver, Browning, Dahl, Sharrard, Wirwton and Pilgeram. A number of her friends surprised Mrs. Herman Taki Sunday bringing with them presents and lunch. The occasion was Mrs. Taki 's 54th birth day. Impie Haglin brought a beauti-; ful birthday cake with all the trim mings. Those present were Mrs. Hag lin, Jacob, Gabriel, William and Impie Haglin, Mr. and Mrs. John Poire, Mr and Mrs. Severt Maki, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Maid, Mrs. Justina Nelson, J K.
