"Flathead products are featured in the cereal exhibits at the Northern Pa cific railway office in St. Paul far more effectively than products from any other state," said Stanley Scearce last evening upon his return from a week's stay In the Twin Cities. Mr. Scearce says ,that the publicity and immigration departments of the North ern Pacific are calling attention in evefy way possible to the great ad vantages for homeseekers in the Flat head valley along its new branch line. Flathead Opportunity. "Everybody talks war," said Mr. Scearce, "and to take your part as a good patriot, you must be engaged in ■ome form of war work. All classes and both sexés are doing something. The government looks to the farm for help because food will win the war. That Is why the Flathead country with thousands of acres of rich soil will do a great big part in winning the war. It is our privilege to pledge our selves to a supreme effort to maintain our American soldiers and our allies untH the. last Hun crics "Kamarad!" Conditions Abnormal. "Business conditions are abnormal. Factories that formerly made plows ! are now making machine guns. Mer chandise is hard to obtain. Farm products will remain high and with wheat guaranteed at a minimum price of $2 and wool probably at Î1 a pound, home farmers can not only do the patriotic service; but also lift the mortgage from the old homestead by exerting themselves to the last limit. Federal Income taxes are running far above expectations and the Inventories already completed show a year of im mense profit in business tlio country over.
