The body of Dr. G. King, who

week, was brought to Tucson and
embalmed. The funeral will t::ke
place at five o'clock to-day, from
the undertaking rooms of Mr. E. J.

From John Tewsbury, who is in
town attending ths Democratic con
vention, we learn that Geo. Blain.;,
who was thot by Marion McCrum
recently at Tonto Basin, is fast re-
covering from his wounds, although j
no hopes were entertained of his
being able to survive them. Miner.

pany," today received a check for
$ 1,500 or Mrs. Julia A. Macdonald,
widow of the late Aaron J. Macdon
ald, of Mesa City, who was fatally
injured by being thrown from a
wugon. Though the man who was
with Mr. Macuonald at the time
could not be found lor proof of the
accident, the company which Mr.
Dickey represents promptly remit
the auiou it of his insurance.
There is a great abundance of

Mr. R. E. Farunston left at our

flavored as anything we ever tasted.

Barth, of St. Johns. Apache county,
Anzena, as it was understood that
Barth was an the incoming Atlantic
& Pacific train. The cupias was
placed in the hands cf Deputy Mar
shal Richmond, who arrived at the
depot just after the train has stopped
and in consequence he missed Barth
w ho got off the train on the e:tt
sidu of the track. Later Barth was
taken into custody at the Maden
house and placed In charge of
deputy. Earth's friends say that
Sol wai not on his way east, but
that hs came in for the express pur
pose of set'lingwith Staab & Co.,
and that he intended to return home
this morning. Staab & Co., through
Ed. Spitz claim that their action

A private letter from B. T. Rus
sell, former superintendent of tho

22nd, reports the killing of his
brother Fred, at Sulphur Spring
Valley, by a stroke of lightning.
Mr. Ruasell adds: "I was quite
badly hurt myself, as I was insen
sible for fourteen hours, and both
hands were paralyzed for about thirty-six
hours, I was badly hurt on
my breast bone and burned quite
badly on my right hip. The hair
was burned off from the back part
of my head. George Bailey, one of
our party, was quite badly burned
from his right shoulder down to his
right foot, and was perfectly help
less for about twenty-four hems.
Colonel Delaud, who was in the
tent with us, was not burl a parti
cle." The deceased, Fred Russell, was
from Baltimore, where his widow
