coming to us and frequently we cannot give satisfact
ory answers.
Inquiries also come to us for accomodations of all
kinds, furnished and unfurnished rooms with and with
out board. Persons who have such, should also reg
ister with us. In case this practice becomes general it
will greatly aid us in our endeavors to further the pub
lic’s welfare in these two particulars. Either call,

Thomas S. Ewell and wife of Pitts
burg arrived Sunday evening for an
indilinite stay. They are with Mr«.

Miss Emma Pertilla of Little Rock,
who is in the city for a month's visit
is stopping with Mrs. T, D. Perkins.
She is a teacher in Shorter College.
Mrs. Onrry and sister, Florine, of
Pt. Worth and M rs. R Patterson of
Corsicana, Texas, aie guests of Mrs.
Hattie Hogue. The first two arc her
nieces.
James W. Vaughn, a former resi
dent of our city, died at the home of
his mother on Elorada Street. Wed
nesday evening at the age of 45 years.
For many years ha was ass dated in
business with W. D. Phillips and is
well known among the older residents
of the city, He returned from Chi
cago about six weeks ago. He leavis
a wife and mother. The funeral will
take place this afternoon at 2 o’clock
from Horan's Chapel.
