Tub Dollns City Pleasure (tardea was
formally opened on Bunday afternoon, as
advertised. Notwithstanding the threat
ening weather, the attendance was liberal,
and all went away satisfied with the en
tertainment. As will be seen by referauoe
to the advertisement , this morning, the
Garden will be opened on Tuesdays and
Fridays from 3 to 12 P, M., aud, on Bun
days from 2 to 12 p. v.
. Thr new Commercial Hotel, Messrs.
Blake & llarkley, proprietors, will be open
ed for the reception of gueati on Wednes
day (to-morrow) morning. This house is
eligibly situated, on the corner of Elm
and Jefl'erson sis., and is handsomely fitt
nished throughout with new furniture, cu
pels, eto. The proprietors are both noli
and favorably known to our people, and,
we know (bat they will give satisfaction
to their guests. The card of llio hold will
be found in our columns to-dny.
YtNESDAT being rainy, and business
rather dull, a number of our ottisens (?)i

how much whiskey they could get outside
of. This for a while was fine amusement)
but like all other terrestrial Joys, il. soon
"played out;" they grew Vlired and sleepy
too," so our courteous and warm-henrled
police kindly put about twenty of them
"in their little beds," whero they "could
calmly lie and sweetly sleep," until called
to judgmeut beforo tho tribunal of his
honor the Mayor.

to-day's paper, that Charley Noyes will be
hire on Monday next, with his great Ores
eent Circus, which has been entirely re
fitted and reorganised, and will . exhibit
on Monday and Tuesday (the 14th and
i5th). Everybody hereabouts knows what
kind of a show Noyes brings with him,
and will be prepared to appreciate the
performances.

The ball at Mr. Meisterhans' pavillion
on last Saturday evening was well attend
ed, and none were there who seemed to re
gret it, The supper was bounteous, and
oonsisted of viands that would do honor to
any board.
Tub City Railroad Is doing a fine busi
ness new. He cars are continually
crowded. .We learn that the compny
contemplate building a hranoh road on
either Bryan or Baa Jacinto streets.
