True enough the above amount of money was raised, but it was not raised In Mr. Menogan's church, but was raised In a Joint rally of Car ter's Chapel C. M. E. church of which -Rev. Flournoy Is pastor, and Mt Zion Baptist church of which the Rev. Menogan la pastor. Rev, Jas. A. Stout of Santa Monica, Calif, assistant General Secretary of the Church Extension Board of the C. M. E. Parker, returned from Caldwell, last, week where she taught school. Dr. Leonard conducted a great meeting at Lights Chapel last week. The Cameron Colored High school closed a very successful, year's work last week on Wednesday night May 28th. The commencement exercises took place at the Cameron Grove Baptist church on Saturday night Miss L. E. McCoy and Mrs. C. O. Thompson, a fine line of exhibits from their departments. Large crowds of visitors were here from Branchville, Mayfleld, Minerva, Tracy, Glddlngs and other points to wit ness the exercises. The total receipts from the exer cises were $50.00 which will be ap plied to the Industrial departments. Dr. Hunt preached at Bethel A. M. E. church Sunday.
