The American Woodmen rendered a most interesting and delightful pro gram at Saint Jans A. M. E. church Sunday at 3 D. m. Music under the direction of Mrs. W. J. Bell added to the other features. Mr. J. W. Burr was master of cere monies. Messrs. Phillips and Davis of Pilot Point were here Sunday. The Educational Rally at the A. M. E. church or which Rev. W. P. Crock ett is pastor was a decided success. Miss L. L. Lambert received the prize. Mrs. Dora Randolph raised the next highest amount. Madames R. H. Burr, Bertha Cochran and Hattie Smith visited Pilot Point, recently. The Missionary society of the C. M. E. church, Mrs. Elmira Hodge, president, held a series of meetings last week. Rev W. P. He has been ailing for some time, and had Just come in from Little Rock, Ark, where ho had been visiting his daughter. Funeral attended Tuesday April 13; laid to rest in the family cemetary.
