SCHIIMIT, Clerk. EXCIANGE CLIPPINGS. CNCINNATr, April 15.-The U. P. Schenck re fused to tane 1600 bbls of cement yesterday. Shippers will find out after awhile that boats can't run on "wind" if they do on water. The indications from later dispatches are that the Fannie Moore will be saved. Nearly all her cargo has been saved by the Maumelle, in dam aged condition. Capt. J. Sharp McDonald advertises for pro posals for quarrying and loadming in barges stone for Eade' jetties at Rose Claire and other points on the Lower Ohio river. LOUISVILLE.-The steamer Nashville is a regular Cincmnan and Tennessee river packet. Capt. Jack Bleech is an honorable, hard-working, good man. He has brought our merchants many orders for goods, and they have "gone back on him" by shipping by rail. On the last trip out of Tennessee river he brought a number of our merchants orders for goods, with instructions to send the goods back on Capt. ileeth's boat. He arnrived her' yesterday from Cincinnati on his way back, and instead of the merchants he brought the orders 0o giving him the freight, they told him they had shpped by rail to save maurance. Oapt. Jack is done. He says "he has no further use for Louisvdlle and her merchants. He will carry all his orders to Oineinnati, and he will take freight from there for 20 cents per 100 pounds, but he will not take a pound of freight from this city for lees than 40 oents per 100 pounds, which is the railroad rate." We gl in m apt. Jack's He ha beentr d bdy by our mer -tpe. sad thew will be U nuew by it. MARINE NEWS. OFFICE NEW ORLEANS DMOORA , A April 18, 1877. f Cleared Yf esterday.
