rendered in this court In the following entitled
suit, in the words and figures following, to wit:
Mrs. Julia O. Madden vs. her husband-No.
On motion of Alfred Shaw, of counsel for
plaintiff, and on producing to the court due
proof in support of said plaintiff's clairi, the
law and evidence beigs in her favor.
It is ordered, adjudged and decreed that the
judgment by default herein entered, on the
twenty-second instant be now confirmed and
made final, and accordingly that there be judg
ment in favor of plaintiff, Mrs. Julia Cheroken
Many, and against the defendant. John W.
Madden. her husband, decreeing a separation
of property and a dissolution of the commu
nity of acquests and gains heretofore existing
between the said parties, and that the said
plaintiff do have the administration and oon
trol of her separate property.
It, is further adjudged and decreed that the
said plaintiff do have and recover of the de
fendant, her husband the sum of three thou
sand dollars, with eigftt per cent interest per
annum thereon from January 31. 1878. till paid,
and costs of suit, with legal mortgage for the
payment thereof on the property of the do
endant ; dating and taking effect from the thir
ty-first day of January. 157t.

depth. Purchased by the Inate Francois Girod
from Tousaint Mossy, per act before the same
notary, F. de Armas, dated twenty-seventh
May, 1829.

number eight, in sa uarenurber eleven, bound
ed by Rampart, Basin, loevlle and Conti
streets, on a plan of J. Pille, dated twelfth of
May, 1819; said lot measuring thirty-one feet
front on Rampart street by a depth of one hun
dred and twenty feet from Rampart to Basin
street, on which latter street it measures also
thirtryone feet; the whole French measure.
Purchased by the late Francois Girod from
Charles Stevenson, per act passed on the twen
tv-third of December, 1829, before T. Seghers,
late a notary publec in this city.
All the hereinbefore described property, be
longing to the said Joseph Girod, defendant
herein for having inherited the same from the
said Francols Girod. In possession of whose
property he was put by judgment of the Second
District Court for the parish of Orleans, ren
dered and signed on the seventeenth of May
1870, No. 33,775. of the docket of said court and
registered in the conveyance office, book et,
folio 13.
