Mobile is 13 a 20, and dull. The romor of a diicoveiy of additional defalcations in tbe TruU Company to the amount of $60,000, is untrue. The only new discovery that has been made is in relation to the nunner in which Nicoll perpetrated some of his fraud?. The romor probably arose from the circumstance that a demand has been made on the Company for collateral se? curity for a deposit of $50,000. A rich citiz?n of Albany died and left by will to his grandchildren |50,0C0, wi h di? rections that the Chancellor should deposit it in some safe ip.tuutioij lor the benefit of tiiese |]f>jrs, being minors. Since the Nicoll explosion in the Trust Company tbe father ot tbe children, as their natural guatdian, has demandedoltbe Company either the ?mount of the deposit ?ir collateral se? curity. The Company cannot, of course, give the latter in one case unless they do it in all, and this they cannot do. As this deposit was made for a stipulated number of years, it is doubtful if the father has any right to disturb it. This j?, however, probably the foundation of the rumor allu? ded to. An officer of or;e of the Agency Banks ?tntes that but lit tie orer two millions of th?? Government L'>an was left when Mr. John Ward rear bed Washington. If so, there must have been a large amou t taken lately at the Agen? cies, as within a fortnight, we have tbe best authority for knowing, the amount for sale by the Secretary was upward nf five millions. We trust Our repealed cautions in relation to tbeMon mouth Bank have been attended to. We understand ? ?mall sum was presented for redemption to-day at the agen cr and the answer was, " No funds." The Legislature of North Carolina having adjourned without having taken any definite action on the proposition of the private stockholders to wind up the State Bank, a resolution was passed previous to adjourning the general meeting of the stockholders on the 30th ult., leaving the sub? ject open for the consideration of a future general meeting, and recommending to the President and Directors of thi Bank to administer its affairs in tbe mean time with a- lib? eral acconitiioriation to the people of tbe State and indul? gence to its debtors as may be consistent with the safely ami interests of the Bank.
