Useful little volume.
A ?howv edition of Thackeray's works is being

clude tb<>ee by the author, by George Cruikshank

Among the Easter publications of A- D. F. Ran?
dolph _ Co. is "Heart of Christ My King" and
other ancient Christian hymns, translated by the
late Dr. Edward A. Wastiburn.
The first two volumes of the new and ?xistly edi?
tion of Dickens, now bang published in laOnOaWt,
bave been issued, aud a supply ha? beeu received in
this city by Macnullan cX, Co. Theso volume? con?
tain " Pickwick Papers."
The complete works of the famous painter Meis
sonier are being reproduced by the photogravure
procesa to adorn a publication which will lie issued
in parts of four platos each. Mr. J. W. Bouton is
tho agent for America, and each of the parts will
cost $7 50. Thirteen parts will be delivered during
the preaent year. Tho plabu* will bo 18 inches wide
by 25 long.
Mr. Joaqnin Miller bus written a Western story
entitled " .Shadows of .?hasta." which is said to be a
fresh and stirring appeal iu behalf of the Indians.
It will be issued this week bv .Linsen, McClurg &
Co., who haves also in press Mr. Miller's book,
