Chlcago Aug. 11.-Wheat received some help from
the revival of Russian crop fallure talk and from
some lnformation from the Northwest that differed
materlally from the roae colored reports of the
heavy tterastemg returns in South Dakota and Min
nesota that have been so industrlously sent out
from Mlnneapolls. There was nothing deMnite made
public on the poor thrashlng results, but tbe reports
were said to be from reliable sources. The market
cloeed en a %e advance. Corn was very flrm, and
fr.rn Hr_ to %o higher. Oats closed without note
worthy change. and provlslons had a materlal raily
frorn lower prices made at tha opening.
The wheat market showed un.xpeoted strength
al the opening. becauae some local shorts sought
to cover. and a little competition ensued for the
