Is that of the jCpnor. Oil Company absorbing the "alley Alien-^.rop^ y^iS tutions for which were successfully concluded last Wednesday; " The "Biley Allen" Property, located four miles north of Munde fa Delaware county, Indiana, and formerly owned by Mr RUev Allen, a millionaire oil producer of Allentown. New Tork. is" one of th» most productive, promising and famous in that section It embraces 723 acres of proven oil lands, on which have been drilled an« are now being operated 8? oil wells, all fully connected with tte pipe lines of the Standard Oil Company. «>nnoctea wltn As the Norton Oil Company originally had S9BV. acres It xrtii be seen that by this one new acquisition its acreage has been in. closed to 1126% acres, making its present acreage nearly tlirin times in extent that which It had prior to last Wednesday It hij locations marked out for a total number of 225 new wells, which trill bring the aggregate up to nearly 800. all. of which are to be drilled just as rarely as such progress Is practicable and is justi fied ry conservative business management. J Tbe new property has a splendid gas, well, which supplies an abundance of natural gas for operating all of the powers besides affordui? an additional revenue from the sale of surplus eas to other oO protooetw In that section. The equipments are of the newest, most modern and Improved type, including three Mascot powers: two Beam -wells- four 25 b«t*-power gas engines: three 12 horse-power gas engines- one 3r horse-rower gas enerine: nine complete rigs; twelve tanks of •M barrels each; four Zh horse-power boilers, and all other neces sjrjr BWdtilMsT and tools for operating the plant. There Is be- Bides a number of comfortable cottages owned by the company in which i:s operatives reside. ' The product of the "Riley Allen" property Is selling now at 94 cents a barrel, that being the highest figure now paid In the Indi ena fieias, and one cent a barrel In excess of the price commanded by the product of the original Norton Oil Company property, vhich if now bringing 93 cents a baTrel. With the acquisition of this vastly rich producing property. with lu= immense acreage and practically Illimitable possibilities of future development and production, there remains to be stated a fact that stands almost alone and without precedent in the cor poration history of America, t. c., the Norton Oil Company, though already capitalized at a figure much less than its real value, prac tically doubles the number of its producing wells and more than doubks the extent of Its acreage and the book value of Its com mon stock without making a dollar's increase in the amount of Its capital stock. The Norton Oil Company now has more acreage of proven oil lands end more actual settled producing oil wells than are owned and controlled by any other million dollar company in the United States, and I believe that ere the close of another year, based upon the production and the development of the original properties and those represented by the recent absorption, that it will be in re ceipt of revenues to the amount of not less than $500,000 a year, equal to 9% on its entire capital stock, even with oil selling at the present figures of 93 and 94 cents a barrel. I am norr offering to customers of my office a limited amount of Ihe U% cumulative preferred stock of the Norton Oil Company at its par value. $100 a Ehare. representing a net Investment yield cf U%> end a limited amount of the common stock at $34 a share, or ibeat one-third of its par value. Financial. s T m iti-^ 11 " 10 accept orders or the common stock separately, and i},™^^ 1 Permit any customer to buy a greater number of shares of common stock than preferred. - - The preferred stock as a straight 10% Investment, with the as surance of Its security made doubly sure by the doubling of the live and potential assets of the corporation in whose name It stands, Is superior from the combined standpoint of safety and remunera tiven £2. 5 to 9J L % °* th Investment opportunities of America. 11 The . cd i dividend requirements of the preferred stock are limited to only $40,000 a year, already much less than the net earnings of even the original property, while the completion of development work to the full producing capacity of the amal gamated properties contemplates a net Income of ten times the preferred stock dividend requirements. Five per cent, has already been paid this year on the 10% cumulative preferred stock, and another quarterly dividend of 2^i% will be paid July Ist, over half of that amount having already accrued to the account of those making an investment In the preferred stock now. And with the added revenues to be derived from the newly acquired holdings, I hereby make the definite and authoritative announcement that the common stock will Inaugurate the payment of dividends, and that upon a substantial and highly satisfactory basis, in the next two or three months. Under the new and im proved conditions I look forward with renewed and strengthened expectancy to the fulfilment of my confident prediction that the common stock, based on Its selling price of $34 a share, will ere the close of the present year equal the 10% net Investment yield of the preferred stock, and with another year will double it. The new status of the property should upon the lowest esti mate advance the value of the common stock from $34 a share to its par value of $100 a share, with the prospect of the early com mencement of highly satisfactory dividend payments. And the preferred stock, because of the fact that the assurance of its safety has been made doubly sure, should logically advance to not less than $150 a share, at which figure It still represents a net Invest ment yield of 6 2-3%. Readers of former announcements have been made fully familiar with the facts concerning the original Norton Oil Com —with the fact that it has no entanglements and no problems — with the fact that it has over $150,000 expended upon new and modern equipments — with the fact that it is financially inde pendent, in control of the entire situation and is beyond doubt one of the cleanest cut corporations in America. And with its new holdings of even larger acreage and greater capacity for develop ment what may not be said of it by way of fitting eulogy? What may not be said of Its possibilities? What may not bo said of the untold millions yet to be uncovered and distributed In the shape of dividends to Its stockholders? Callers at my office the other day while this announcement was being written, having been advised of all the facts concerning the Norton Oil Company and Its new possessions, subscribed for over $20,000 worth of the stock, and It is plainly evident to me that the small amount of this stock which I am now able to offer at the present quotations will be fully subscribed fer within a very few days. •« I cannot now definitely name the day on which Norton Oil preferred and common stock will materially advance In price. But I do definitely say that It will take place In a very few days. I do definitely say that the price of today represents the lowest price at which the stock will ever be obtainable. I must, therefore, In justice to myself reserve the right to advance the price on this stock at any time without further notice. However, all orders forwarded immediatelj' at these Quotations will either be filled or remittance promptly returned. This Is fair warning. Opportunities the like of this are few and far between. I advise you to make your lJtial investment or to increase your Investment at once, and to make it as large as you possibly can. Take no chances: telegraph me at my expense immediately upon reading this and indicate the amount of reserva tion you may desire. Confirmation of order and remittance cover- Ing same may follow by mail. Address all communications and make all remittances payable to me personally. C. F.
