Philadelphia, May 27.— Seven Episcopal min isters -who left the Church following the adop tion of th* "open pulpit" canon were "received into the Catholic Church here to-day by Arch "■ bishop Ryan. The ceremony, which took place la the Cathedral chapel, was private. Follow ing a profession of faith the seven clergymen ■were conditionally baptized. They were Will iam McGarvey. former rector, and Maurice Cowl, "William L.- Hayward. William H. McClelland, former assistants at St. Elizabeth's Protestant Episcopal Church, of this city; Edgar N. Conan. of Milwaukee, formerly assistant at St. Mark's Episcipal Church here, and Charles A. Bowles and Otto Gramall. of. Chicago. The converts have been the fru/ests of Archbishop Ryan for several <iays. MAD DOGS NO UNUSUAL MENACE.
