Fall River, Mass., Sept. 25.— Sales for the week In the print cloth market are estimated at 125,000 pieces. Buyers are displaying more interest in tha mar ket and inquiries for goods are more numerous. In some instances purchases were sought below the present selling basis, but the mills are only mod erate sellers, even at existing quotations. The In crease in th« demand for goods and the desire of buyers to come Into the market more freely after certain lines have been productive of a steady un dertone. The quotations are: 28-inch 64 squares, ." cents; 28-inch 04 by 60. 276 cents; 28>i-inch. 64 squares. 4'» cents; 39-Inch 68 by 72. i'% cents. CHICAGO GRAIN AND PROVISIONS. Chicago, Sept. 25.— wheat market advanced sharply for a time to-day, December touching $10_>i to $10-%. but there was plenty for sale on the bulge, and December closed %c. off. Corn dosed unchanged, outs %c to %c lower, and provisions ■lightly higher. The market for wheat was erratic and irregu lar. It started with an advance, lost lt, regained it, and then let go again, without any particular change in th«» crop situation. December at the start rose to $1 02. It then went back to $1 01 '». only to rebound to $1 02'. 4 to $1 02%. The close was at $1 01 >*, 'fee under yesterday. The under tone, however, seemed to be bullish, but the readiness of longs to take profits on bulges pre vented this sentiment from maintaining prices. Liverpool closed sharply higher; export sales for the day. unconfirmed, were placed us high as 100 loads; flour sales at Minneapolis were still heavy; Northwest receipts were likewise; Hessian fly re ports arrived from the Southwest; the Italian crop was said to be 40,0^0,000 bushels under last year's, and weather was reported inimical to the movement in the Northwest. The week's Increase in stock at Minneapolis broke the record at 2,100.000 bushel*. Duluth re ported a decrease of 1,600,000 bushels, but quail- Red this statement by admitting that loading re ports had been delayed, and that the ofllcial statement probably would show an Increase. Ex ports for the week were put at C, OOO bushels, twice what they were a year ago. Seaboard clearances in wheat and flour were equal to 449,000 bushels. Primary receipts were 1,997,000 bushels, compared with 1,191,000 bushels a year ago. Local receipts numbered 46 cars, 7 of con tract grade, while to-day receipts for Chicago, Minneapolis and Duluih were 1.263 cars, against. 1,326 cars last week and 6*7 cars a year ago. December corn prices covered a range of %C, and Showed the Influence of wheat throughout the session. Cash sales were liberal and the sample market was up '«'■ to '■/. The Italian crop was said to be 87,000,000 bushels under last year's. The prospect of colder weather in the West had .v steadying effect. September, Which i* In a con gested Mate, closed »c higher, but December fin ished the day unchanged and May up a shade. Local receipts were - 1 "' cars, Including So of con tract grade. Oats reached a higher level early In sympathy with wheat and corn, but prices receded lnfr when trading quieted. There was a fair shipping demand. Closing prices were easy, December. w to * 4 c under yesterday. Local receipts were 190 cars. Provisions were quiet and tlf range of prices was narrow. The tone was steady on the predic tion of a decrease in the monthly stocks. The close was from a .•#-.ad<» to :' c higher. Estimated receipts for to-morrow: Wheat, 34 cars; corn, 150 cur*; oats, 308 cars; hogs, 9,000 head. nOKK WANTED. Female.
