NEW-YORK DATLY TRIBUNE, THURSDAY, JTLY 8, 1909.
OUTSIDE SECURITIES.
Apsrt from the heavy selliriß which developed
in the Ooldn»!ds stocks in the first half of the
session and which resulted in materially lower
prices for the leading issues of this group, the mar
ket for outside securities was devoid M special
Mature. Trading in other departments was upon
a comparatively small scale, and while the general
trend of values was toward a lower level, the net
line* were ronflned to small fractions. Butte
Coalition lost half a point to --I"-, and Inspiration
declined to .below T. An exception to the general
rule was i;]rm,x Consolidated, which advanced % to
8% on rather heavy purchases «nd which main
tained nearly all of the gain. In the Industrials
Standard oil lost a point. Western Pacific 6a bands
were active and about !4! 4 higher.
