Market for West 22& Street Parcels— Improve Park Place Building, Many important realty deals affecting: properties in the midtown loft and retail business zones were me.de yesterday. There was also a fairly vigorous demand lor parcels in the old residential districts of the upper West Side and on Washington Heights. -X ;- A big uptown investment deal was tho purchase by Henry Nassoit from Max and Simon E. An Important midtown transaction was the *aUe by Opden & Clarkson, for the •«ate of Hamilton M. Neilley and the :d estate, of Nos. 118, 120. 122 and 124 Jid street, four four story dwelling houses, on a plot 75x100 feet. The property •djolns the O'Noill-Adams store. Samuel X., Jacobs, of Walter Emmerich L Co., ribbon manufacturers', Increased his holdings on. West 22d street, near Fifth ave nue, yesterday by buying the premises Nos. 20 and 22, four story buildings, from Jane K. and Sarah G. I'raser and Thomas C. Clarkson. The Fraser house, 26x98.9 feet, has been owned by the sellers since 1904, and the Clarkson house, 25.Cx95.9 feet, since ISSO. Mr. Jacobs bought last year the five story building Nos. 24 and 26 West 22d street. The combined parcels form a plot 103. 10 x Bfc.9 feet. The Farmers* Loan and Trust Company took title yesterday to the southeast corner ef Fifth avenue and 41st street, 19x98.4 fret, sold recently by the E. G. Potter Com pany through Mooyer & Marston. The company's maintains its uptown branch in the adjoining building. No. 476 FfTth avenue, on which it has a twenty one years' lease, with privilege of several renewals. The two buildings may be con verted Into one as the result of the pur chase of the corner property, or a new structure erected on the entire plot. A representative of the company said that nothing definite had yet been decided as to the future of the properties. Plans have been filed for enlarging the six story loft and store building at the northeast corner of Canal and Lafayette streets with a six story extension, the im provements being made from designs by Delano & AW rich for Alfred Seton, at a cost of $10,000. -'^'j Pians have also be-en filed for remodelling the five story and basement loft building, 4 8 and 50 Park Plac%, extending through to Barolay stree-t, and equipping the buiidinir with new elevator sen-ice, the improvement? bf-ing made from designs by Cross & Cross for Miss M. Ix>w estate, as owner. LEASE INVOLVES $120,000. Abbaye Company To Be Tenants of 39th Street Building. The John H. Fife Company has leased for Sam S. and Lee Shubert the first and second floors and basement, for restaurant purposes, to the Abbaye Company, in the I uildiiiK No. 110 and 112 West SSth street, opposite Maxine Elliott's Theatre. The lea 6* i- for a term of ten years, at an apgrepaie rental of $120,000. Frederick C. Schuler. president of the Washington Heights Van Company, has sold the lease of the stable on the south Bide of ÜBtta street, between St. Nicholas and Edgecombe avenues, to the Consoli dated Gas Company. The pas company purchased the property recently. It will use it for a stable and for storage pur poses. The lease has one year to run, and there is also a renewal for a term of ten jears. Mr. Schuler recently purchased the lot. 25x118 feet, on the east side of St. Nicholas avenue, 25 feet north of laSth Etreet, and is said to have commissioned Euell & Euell. architects, to draw plans for a seven story stable to be erected on the fite. TRADING IN THE SUBURBS. Edwin Hawley has bought from Howard B. Hendrickson about fifty acres of land lying at the easterly end of Babylon, Long Island. It adjoins Effing-ham Park, in West Irlip. which Mr. Hawley purchased about ten years ago, and on which he built a fine house. On the property just sold is the famous gristmill, latterly used ac a whip factory, which antedates the Revolution. Mr*. J. H. Seaman has sold her property formerly decupled by Dr. C. G. Finn, in Front street, Hempstead, 1/mg Island, and also property on the south side of Front etreet. from the town hail to Washington street, to John Doty for 517,000. RECENT BUYERS. James W.
