Plans have also been filed for a six story apartment, house to contain thirty-one suites, and to be erected for the Tuscan Construction Company, from designs by the earne architect*, at a cost of $150,000. on Claremont avenue, above 123 d street, and Just north of the new Union Theological Seminary buildings. Plans have also been filed for remodelling the laboratory of the Vanderbilt Clinic on Amsterdam avenue, north of 59th street, from desig.i? by Crow, Lewis & Wicken hoeter as architects for the trustees. Plans have also been filed for making ever the two story stable at No. 105 West 80th street, owned by JuMa L. Justice Amend, in the Supreme Court yes terday, granted the corporation of« St. Josephs Home for the Aged, conducted by the Sisters of the order of St. Vincent de Paul, permission to mortgage property in West 15th street, owned by the corporation, for the purpose, of raising $240,000 to ex pend in the construction of new buildings ft r the use of the home, and to furnish and equip them. The issue of the mortgage was authorized by the board of managers several weeks ago. Bayard L Beck, as attorney for the corporation, in his peti tion, said that the liabilities of the home are less than $40,000. AN $80,000 DOWNTOWN LEASE. Type Company to Occupy Space in the Black Building. The Charles F. Noyes Company has leased for John V. A H. V. D. Black to the Barnnard Type Foundry Company the •jround floor of the Black Building, occupy ing the block front on the easterly side of William street from FYankfort street to the Brooklyn Bridge for a long term at an aggregate rental of about $80,000. The lessee is now located at Lafayette and Worth streets. The Ruland & Whiting Company has leased for a long term of years to "William Ottman & Co. for Henry A. De Mcli the building Xo. 207 Water street and for Ella G. Bogardus and several other persons the building No. 203 Water street. The premises are to be extensively altered and used as a refrigerating plant. Duross Company has leased the store and basement No. 364 Seventh avenue to D. Benoit and Frank Anfossi; also sixth loft at No. 10 West ISth street to Bachrach & Fre*dman. Alfred B. Af?hford and Stephen H. Tyng, Jr., & Co. have leased for A. According to an official announcement, "the lessees will impregnate linen collars with a eubstance invented by a German chemist, which will eliminate the necessity of laundering them. GETS WESTCH ESTER TRACT. Dr. Edward F. Brush, formerly Mayor of Mount Vernon, has sold his "upper" farm at Cross River, in the northern part of "Westchester County, to Francis M. Strat ton, president of the Westchester Lighting Company. The tract consists of a thousand acres, and was purchased by him twenty years ago, and has been used as a stock farm. Mr. Stratton will probably erect a costly summer home on the place. He is a large owner of Westchester property. 9 TWO BRONX LEASES.
