valued at $600.
According to Mr? Hunter, Smith had
be<?n In her apartment on Friday after
noon, and she hf>d lout him out for some
medicine. He. returned with it. and shortly
afterward left her apartment "again. ■ She

The police discovered that Smith had
pawned an unset diamond "or $250, and be

After Smith was remanded for further
