There "was little trading recorded in the
real estate market yesterday. A number
of Interesting leases were reported, how
ever Probably the most interesting among
these was tfcat by the United States Real
ty and Improvement Company, which rent
ed to the Central Leather Company the m
tire eighteenth floor of the new Whitehall
Buildinß. at the Battery and West street:
also, the eighteenth floor of the old White
hall Buildinp. The entire space, comprising
about twenty-four thousand square feet,
has be^n leax-d for a lons term of years at
a price of approximately J40.000 a year.
The space will be occupied as executive of
fices by this company and its subsidiary
companies.

Plans have been filed for a seven story

and surmounted by a copper dome. Alfred

Chapman Contracting Company for the
