Branson, who owned or c?i'itrollcd a majority interest in the S'telter Island Heights Association, a! Shelter Island Heights, has sold all his stock in the association and its sub? sidiary companies to a syndicate of Manhattan and Brooklyn men. The parent company owned the big hotel known as the Prospect House, the Shelter [sland-Greenport Ferry, a bathing pavilion, express company, Ice company and a number of cottages which it leased to summer residents. The syndicate which bought the Branson stock is composed of Charles II. Otis, George M Bo?rdman, George M, Webster, Charles I.. Morse, Howard Raymond, William 11. Bradley, Martin Shiebler, Frederick Mackay, Eugene Britton and Frederick K. Alley. The property was recently appraised at $240,000, and it is understood Branson was paid $50,000 for his holdings, Re? cently a minority stockholders' suit was brought by Martin Shiebler and others against Branson to compel him to pay over to the parent association money which it was claimed had been paid out by Branson, and a judgment was rendered against Branson direct? ing him to pay back into the companj $23,000.
