Export operations were of much smaller volume, and it seemed to be the prevailing impres? sion in the export trade that the weak? ness in foreign exchange was curtail? ing business. Some shippers took the stand that at the present timo America offers the only source of supply to Europe, and that consequently the action of the ex? change market will have little influence on sales of wheat, which is a neces? sity, and that any curtailment in ex? port business will be in other com modities. It was intimated, however, that Europe might get supplies from some other source, ?and in this connection Manchuria was suggested as a possible market as only recently wheat was oiFered to the Pacific Coast from that country. There was also a report from Minneapolis that a cable had been re? ceived from Liverpool stating that it was believed there are lib?ral supplies of wheat in South Russia, although transportation and political conditions ; made it difficult to predict when it will ; be available. Rust reports had more or less in ! fluence, but the best authorities in the | trade were inclined to view the situa? tion with less alarm and a prominent crop exDert estimates the winter wheat crop at f,7o.000,000 and spring wheat at 300,000,000. Cash prices at Minneapolis were un? changed to five cents higher, but one feature in the situation which was given bearish significance was the fact that country points were not sending in buying orders with their rust damage reports. In the local cash market No. 2 red and No. 2 hard wheat were quoted at $2.03, c. i. f. track, New York. -_# Shipping News (Continued from pmccdlnij Dago) Goldsh? 11, Beaumont to Sabine, I.isrht borne, N'orf SAND KEY, Fla, Julj 23 -Passed rast: Morgan Lin? passenger, Standard Oil Com? pany.
