Wanamaker ShoeSelling
Two things have revolutionized shoe manufacturing in the j
last few years, chrome tannage and the Goodyear welt-sewing i
machinery.
Chrome tannage gives to kidskin that soft, velvety surface and perfect
flexibility that used to be found only in the costly French kid. Now we have
changed all that, and Philadelphia factories supply France with her finest
leather.
The Goodyear process of welt-sewing makes possible such marvels of
shoe-goodness as our 1.60 shoes for women, shoes that combine style in
make and excellence in wear, at a price which in most shoe shores will buy
only trash.
But no shoe-selling organization has been able to make such use of these
