Cutler won the loss and scloctrd tho north goal, giving tho ball to Barnard. Wenck kicked oil to Adams, who got around tho lo t end for twenty yards before ho w as downed. Tho next pass was a futuhlt', and the ball wcntlo Barnard on Cutler's twenty llvo-ynrd line. With good gains by Wontk, Karlo mid McMlllen through left guard tho ball was soon on Cutlers lle yard lino, from "hero Arnold wnssent ow r for a touchdown. Hall kiekot goal Cutler kicked off over tho lino and Iho ball wan brought out to tho lwcnt-llv ovarii line. Wrnck kicked to Adams, who, by splendid Interference, ran twenty live yards before ho was stopped. On the next line-up nn unusual play occurred. The captain of the Cutler team gave the signal for a punt, but tho quarter back misunderstood it and stood still holding tho ball. Wenck broko through the lino and, taking tlio oval, ran nil tlio way to Cutler's goal for a touch own. Tho try at goal failed. This endod tho scoring for tho Urn half. Indeed, the Crimson foot bill en thusiasts do not expect to see Cornell si ore, de spite the rather listless playing ot tho Harvard eleven this week. Capt. Cabot will put into tho gamo his strongest eleven. In addition to tho factor that the elov en Intends to try somo of tho plays ovor which it has been quietly at work perfecting in secret practice. So far this seas n the Harvard team ha resorted to few tricks, preferring, however, until It gets iho now plays perfected, to resort to straight, old fash ioned football. For the last week Harvard has had an unusual number of coachos on hand giv ing tbo finishing touches to tho team for the Cornell game. Of these, besides Forbes, Em mons, Lewis, and Wrlghtinglon have been most tireless In their worst. To morrow will see tho result ot their efforts. In speaking ot tho prospects of to-morrow's game, ltccgy Brown said this evening that he did not think Cornoll would score. Ho stated that Has kell, tho old Amherst and also Crescent Athletic Club plaver, was In line form and wouli take Norton Shaw's place at right guard, bhaw Is not in good condition, and has recently lost weight. Pirkerwlll take bulllvan's placo at right half, bulllvan is en tirely out or form, and his injured ankle shows little signs of Improvement. Parker Is an ex cellent substitute for tba place and plas a fast and snappy game. Warren will play full back. On the lino Bour6 and Moulton will resume their positions. Both are in first-class shape. It is not expected that Don Id will be in condition to play. Freddy Mills will take his pla e. Swiln, who mado such a good record In tho Brown game, will play loft tackle In placo of Beef Wheeler. Swam has nearly recovered from his lame ankle and Is oxnected to put up a grot gamo. Garrison will piny quarter back anil Douceite centre. Cabot has recovered from bis indisposi tion and will bo in Iho game as usual. Brown further said that some decided changes may occur in tbo Harvard line-up before tho gamo is over. Little or nothing is known hero concern ing the playing abilities ot tho Cornoll cloven. Added to this is the fact that several ot the best Harvard players have Just returned from sick leavo and may not bo able to Dlay through the game.
