Boy Control of Two Concerns
of Airship Maker Will
Form New Company.
$6,000,000 GAINS AHEAD
Announcement has been made that a
yndlrato of bankers headed by William
Morris Imbrle A Co., haa purcheaed con
trol of the Curtlaa Aeroplane Company
and the Curtlaa Motor Company and that
negotiation are now going on for the
organisation of k new company, which
wll. probably be known a thn Curtlaa
Aeroplane and Motor Corporation.
It la an l,i that Glenn H. Curtlaa will
receive for control of the companies
bout 13.000,000. Part of thl will he
took In the new company. He will alao
be mado president of the mw concern.
The capital of the new company will
consist of 13.000.000 f, per cent, notea
maturing In Instalments of $1,000,000 In
twelve, fifteen and eighteen montha and
$4,000,000 7 per cent, cumulative pre
ferred atocn. There will alo be an la
me of I'll ""I aharea of common atock,
without par value.
The 13. 000. 000 notea and the tf.00fl.0nn
preferred atock will be underwritten by
he ayndlcate, but the price at which
the laaue will be offered haa not been

Corporation has placed an additional
contract for 2,400 tone of steel, to be
used In the construction of tfhe Coney
Island dlvls'on of tihe elevated railroad,
with the American Bridge Company. The
additional steel was required by the

pony. This makes the total contract
52.400 tons. The city of Philadelphia
Is In the market for three highway
bridges, calling fur 400 tons of fabricated

pany has placed a contrail for a freight
boat with the American Shipbuilding
Company for delivery in 1917. The
