The sharp upbidding for crude oil litis caused two advances of 25
cents per barrel within a week. "Nlid-Continent Crude now com
mands $3.50 per barrel as against $2.10 the first part of 1919. The
shortage is bciiiR rapidly accentuated by the increasing use of oil.
Record oil prices nre reflected in greatly increased earnings and
trowitiR prosperity of Independent Oil Companies.
