The Chllo Copper Company reports for
the quarter ended oh March 31 a surplus;
niter charges, of 41,233,930, which la
equivalent to 32 cents a share earned on
Its outstanding capital stock of 125 par
value. In tho corrctpondlii period of
last, year the company reported a deficit,
after charges, of 3500,916.
Net' profit for the quarter ended on
March 31, after depreciation, amounted
to 31,840,749, against a loia of 374,273

3124,887, nnd Interest, amortisation and
bond discount, 3823,954, against 3711,
380. During the first three months of this
year the company had an average pro
duction of 8,463,382 pounds a month,

ceding quarter. Total production In the
former was 25,890,987 pounds, against
22,916,740, In tho final quarter of 1919.
COFFEE MARKET.
The coffee market was yesterday one
of wide fluctuations and very Irregu
lar. Prices declined on tha call due to
overnight selling orders following Mon
day's sharp break and were 3 to 9

prices were quoted at 2 to 4 cents lower.

Weather conditions continued favor
able with scattered showers. Crop re
ports wero good. The crop in Minnesota
looks good and early fields am
starting to tassel, according to advices.
The size of the movement is proving a
surprise to cash handlers, and the result

of tho premium for spot and July deliv
ery.
Oats were weak at tho start on ex
pectations of larger receipts and fur
ther liquidation, but deliveries recov
ered moat of their Iocs on reports of

Wasiiinqtom, July 13. The level of
prices paid farmers for principal crops
decreased about 1.7 per cent during
June, said a feport Issued to-day by the
Department of Agriculture. On July 1,
however, the report added, tho Index fig
ure of prices paid farmers was still more
than 20 per cent more than It was a
year ago, 37 per cent, more than It was
two years ago and 102.5 per cent, higher
than Its ten-year average.
