The wheat market continued to decline tapldly during yesterday' session, nnd at the clone of the day contracts showed net losses of 12 Vi to U cents, which rep resented a drop of 29 to 29 cents from Friday's high point The Decem ber position in Chics to was 42 cents a bushel less than the level at which price wero recorded when the market rsutned operations on July 15. Thera was heavy general selling; throughout the day and on the break stop-loss orders were un covered In volume. The weakness In the market was ap parently duo to a very pronounced In creaM In the volume of offers from the country and weakness In the cash posi tion. Cash wheat .'In Minneapolis showed losses for the day of S to IS cents, mak ing a decllno of 25 cents since Friday. Kansas City was down 3 to 6 cents. Prices at -the, seaboard were also lower, and the fact that exporters took advan tage of the break to jiake purchases of ibout 1,000,000 bushels failed to check the general decline. ' Crop news from the iprlnirwheat bolt was again of a very favorable nature, and one lending authority advanced the opinion that the damage to tho crop would not exceed 10 percent Advices from Canada were exceptionally promis ing and tho spring wheat crop thero waa estimated at -300,000,000 bushels.
