this port In the twenty westbound shlr-i

toward Europe.
Bound this way, In addition to many
tourists Journeying homeward, are a
great many Immigrants, coming from
Bcarulinavia on four ships and from
Italy on four more. In addition several
ahlps have bis steerages from England
and France.
Apparently the British Government
baa modified Ita ruling concerning liners
Stopping at Queenstown, for the White
Star liner Celtic (L-S). now in mld
ecean. paused at that port, presumably
to take on board the large numbers of
Irlah girls who have been coming stead
ily to this city for some time.
Despite the westward tide of travel,

: the Mongolia (C-3) of the American line,
for Hamburg; the Adriatic (D-5) of the
j White Star line, for Cherbourg Hnd
; Southampton; the Kroonland (D-7) Vf
the Red Star line, for Southampton and
Antwerp, and the Kabcrln Auguste Vic
toria (D-ll), for Liverpool.
Also bound eastward are the Cunarder
Imperator (K-9i, which left Thursday
and Is now npproaching the half way
mark of her Journey, and the Holland-
America liner Nleuw Amsterdam (J-13),
which Is not far behind her.
The big ships bound for this port are,
the Aquitanta (P-W). Lafayette (Q-20),
j Rotterdam rM-22), Frederik VIII.
j (D-241 and Dante Alighierl (J-3).
Of the 34 shlp shown on the chart
