larger than they hare been during the last day or two.
Eleven hundred Lehigh add at la*t quotations, oloslng,
however, with a tendency to rise. Ulster is steady at l>i.
The report of tfce Ulster Company verifies all we have
laid of it from the begins iiig. We have reaaon to believe
that it la really on* of the beat mine* In the country; but
owtcg to imperfect organization and financial mismanage
n ent, the stock has alway* been as heavy a* the lead it
represents. On the 18th October last, the com pany de
clared, in a report signed by the treaturer, that thethlp
merits of lead had been aa follow*:?

with observing that, "as the expenaaa had never cxeeed
ed 63,010 a month, and the oompany had no debt except
$2,6Q0,for which the ereditor would not receive payment,"
it waa "mMlfeet that a handcomc dividend would be
decland in February next."
