By the arrival of a sailing vessel at Patta, direct from
Talcahuano, Chile, we are in possession of a few aidil.cnal
items of news from that distracted republic.
The report of the success of the revolutionists near Cotpjimbo
has bad the effect to produce new insurrections In
the 9outh of Chile, and it is reported that Gen. Oruz has
taken command of tec revolutionists in that section.
Considerable disaffection also exist* in Peru against the

The following is what Captain Hill reports to have taken
place when upbore at Guayaquil:?
At 10:30 I' M., on the 4th inst., a noise was heard in the

as if about to fight. After 1 got under weigh, in passing
the town I could see tbe troops drawn oat inline at the

The cause of all this I caunot explain to yon, but I heard
that the Peruvian government ha l offered to withdraw tho
blockading fleet if they wouid change the existing government,
and as it e said the people are very much oppressed
by it, and all trade stagnated in consequence,
they were making tbe attempt to overturn it If possible.
