The American emigrant ship Monarch of the .Seas, which left Liverpool for New York on the afternoon ol the 19th of March last, with a valuable cargo anil six hnnilrcl and seventy-four passengers, is now, lacking bur two days, four months at sea, and as yet nothing has been heard of her. It is foared that Rome disaster must have occurred to the vessol, and that she has gone down with all on board. The Monarch of the S?au was, with out exf'ptlou, one of tho finest emigrant ships that ever left thus port. She wax under the command of Captain Ruber' Kirkaldy, a clever and experienced seaman, and was in every respect a first class vessel. She was built ia this city by Messrs. Two other boats are yet out, containing the first and second mates and about twenty others. The boats knpt company for nineteen days and then parted from one another. The ship carried a large quantity of kerosene and burned rapidly. The Hornet was owned by Montr*. She had a large and valuable assorted cargo, and il is said that one firm in this city shipped $70,000 worth of good* by the Hornet, on which there was no insurance. The vessel belonged to Sutton k Co. '? Despatch line, and is tho first ship lost out of one hundred and fifty which they have sent out during the part seven years. The vessel is fully insured, and with her cargo was valued at $400,000.
