regatta uu tbo Prospect Park Lake yesterday afternoon.
There has seldom beeu seen aucb a large float
of the tiny yachts as wore on hand. The spectators,
too, were unusually numerous, uud, altogether, thoday
wus an exceptional our. The Prospect Park Club bad
Its tacea first. The club was represented by the
lollowiug boats:?Hubert Center, Captain Collins;
Little Cat, ('upturn l.ew Wells; Republic, Coiuni<>dure
Coukhn; Lizzie, Captain James Mauee, and Young
Greek, Captain Wiitiam Knowles. All of these models
ore over flee feet in length. There were two prizes?
viz.. a silver cup and u silver napkin ring. There was
a southwest breeze blowing, urnl the course was laid
lroin Club House Island to tne iovo on tbo South
Shore.
In the first heat there wus a pretty bout between the
Lizzie and the Republic, ot which the Lizzie had the
best by belter handling The Lizzie won ilia heut iu
Vtn. USs., with the Republic but two seconds behind.
The Young Creek, l.illlo Cat and "ltonerl Center followed
in the order uiiuicu.
In the second and third beuts tlio Republic was vie- i
tori o us. She wus handled in a very skilful mannwr
by Commodore Conk 1 in during the eutiro afternoon,
and her success is uttribuluble to that lack

Creek; aud lu the third heal Republic, Lizzie. Center i

Tho steam yacht Admiral, of New York, with several
distinguished American citizens, arrived at Toronto I
yesterday morning.

at Wbitoslone, L. I., last evening, at nine o'clock. 1

yesterday.
The Columbia, N. Y. Y.C., Mr. Lester Wallack, which
lay oft Ukrald telegraph statiou Wednesday and
fhursday, towed to Now York yesterday mo'mug.
The Atlantic Yacht Club went to Stocky l'oint, R. I., '
jt'steiday, where they enjoyed a Rhode Island clam,
bake. A meeting of the captains was held at Newport '
last evening, when it wus decided that the fleet uis- 1
hand. Uu Monday several of thctn will go to tho eastward.
THE SARATOGA REGATTA
As yot the International regatta at Saratoga Is exciting
but littlo utleution among the betting men of New :
York. A few pools, however, were sold at Johnson's i
