two young men who collected money here
en Wednesday that belonged te Edward
Themas, of Philadelphia. It was 1 en med
yesterdsy afternoon that the check which
they rocclved from IT. F. Weber was pre
sented by them nt the Fulton National
bank, whero it was cashed. After receiving
the money the men quickly left the bank,
nnd en the same day get out of town. The
man who gave his name as Themas wrote
the name en the back of the check nt the
bank nnd received the money. When the
ether choek was presented nl the Northern
bank the clerk who paid It noticed that
thcre wns a "J" Iu the name of Mr.
Themas en the face of the check. The man
who wrote the name en Iho back failed te
put In the inlddle letter, nnd theclerk
called his nttcntten le It. He nl ence In
serted the letter nnd received the meney.
