Re freshments were served. Friday, December 16, is the date for the Wesleyan Homebuilders Class of the Windermere Metho dist Church annual Christmas din ner and children’s party. The din ner to be served promptly at 6:30 p. m., has been planned by the food committee of which Mrs. Ken neth Whiteman is chairman. Merle Weible chairman of the social com mittee announces that Mrs. Wm. Reed in charge of the children’s party has made arrangements for Santa’s arrival. The class president, Wilbur Lawrence, and Mrs. Lawrence have been receiving reservations for this gala affair. The Men’s Club of the East Cleveland Congregational Church, Euclid and Page aves, has revived its interest this fall and has re organized with Roger Downes, 1-1016 Scioto ave. as president. The December meeting on Wednesday, December 21st, will start with a dinner, and will have a program of music followed by a talk. by a representative of the local F.B.I. on the various phases of the work of his organization. This promises to be a valuable, even an exciting evening. Other new officers in clude: Norman Haake, Vice Presi dent Ray Collier, Secretary, and George Taylor, Treasurer. Several committees are already rolling. The Seven-Thirty set of Winder mere Presbyterian church will go to Euclid Saturday for its Christ mas party to which Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Striegel, 100 East 208th st. are playing hosts. Family parties among the con gregations are popular excuses for happy get-to-gethers and at Wind ermere Presbyterian such an event is scheduled for Wednesday, the 21st. Frank Stewart, Church The Cleveland Press, will be the guest speaker at next Monday noon’s meeting of the club. Mr. Stewart will make a report on the recent world-wide church meeting in Europe which he attended. Editor of President-elect L. L. Myers is meeting the 1950 officers, direct ors and committee chairmen in a planning session at Colonial Inn Sunday afternoon. Because of this Tuesday night party, the usual Monday noon meeting will be in the nature of a “round table” session.
