Vaca tions are now happy memories the children, and the young folks are back in school organizations are getting down to their particular businesses. Important to the welfare of each group is the Publicity Chairman, or whichever officer is assigned to do publicity. The East Cleveland Leader, as your community news paper, welcomes all timely news and will cooperate fully to present it. Preparing copy can be fun. First get all the information and then write it as simply as possible. Here are a few suggestions and reminders which may prove help ful to individuals sending in news, as well as publicity chairmen: The Leader is distributed on Thursday. That same day the staff begins—if it has not already done so—the task of getting out the next issue. Deadlines for all news is Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. Obituary notices, however, can be phoned to PO. 1-3378 through Tuesday eve ning or to GL. 1-4383 up to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. While the deadline is 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, it is appreciated and expected that church, club, scout, wedding and engagement notices be received no later than Monday, and please mail, if possible. A copy of your yearbook is W’elcome for reference purposes. Wredding and engagement notices in writing, must be signed. Forms for wedding notices will be mailed on request. Also home from the East is Mrs. Zoe Brundage, dean of girls and assistant principal at Kirk Jr. High School. Mrs. Robert W. Sharp (Norine Wines, Shaw 1940) has returned from New York where she com pleted work for her master’s de gree in music education at Teach ers College, Columbia University.
