The Horvatz Co. has the contrapt with the state, county and city footing the bill. Completion of the job will provide East Cleveland with a fine boulevard right through the heart of the city. The Traffic Division of the East Cleveland Police Department has its pattern ready,'so the street de partment can move in quickly with paint can and liner to tie the new section in with the already newly patterned lanes east of Doan ave. One can depend on East Cleve land making short work of the en tire improvement. The Cardinals open their football season at Shaw Stadium Friday night with West High stepping in to defend the other goal post. Sportswriters are predicting a great season for the Cards, which means exciting games ahead. Cleveland City Council is start ing a crusade against needless noise, truckers topping the list of offenders. May the movement speed tp encompass every suburb in the Greater Cleveland area to the end that needless noisemakers, be they truckers, wedding guests or what ever come to realize that noisemaking hereabouts is strictly taboo. Support of the general pub lic can put the idea over. Congratulations to East Cleve land Board of Education for finally deciding to raze that unsightly Doan ave dwelling. The ground added to Mayfair school will be of far njore community service. We just can’t close this column without asking you: “What did you do today to help keep your city clean and net?
