Ekar-Patmore The First Friends Church was the scene of the wedding of Lenore Patmore and Albert Ekar, Satur day evening, August 29th, at 8:00 p. m. The ceremony was per formed by Rev. Amos N. Henry and the prayer was offered by Rev. Allan Lewis of the Notting ham Baptist Church. The bride wore a gown of im ported chantilly lace over satin with an altar train. The fitted bodice with its long sleeves was topped with a V-neckline edged with rainbow-colored sequins and pearls in the shape of leaves. Her fingertip veil of illusion and lace was held by a cap of orangle blos soms with rhinestone centers. She carried a bouquet of cascading white roses with shower ribbons. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Patmore, 1769 Rosedale ave., and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ekar, 1201 North Lockwood. All of the bridesmaids were from out-of-town, two of them be ing college friends of the bride. The brides’ sister, Mrs. Paul Ehmer ,of Chicago, matron of honor, was attired in a blue baller ina length gown. It had a fitted bodice of lace and a nylon tulle skirt over taffeta. Miss Carolyn Schiepke, of Detroit, wore a gown of the same model in lime green, Miss Merle White, Princeton, W. Va., wore lemon yellow, and a gown of orchid was chosen for Anne Jones of Watertown, N. Y. The junior bridesmaid, LaVerne Cherdron, of Detroit, Mich., cousin of the bride wore a pink coral gown of the same style as the bridesmaids.
