The afternoon’s program is being pre sented by the Cleveland Illuminat ing Co. All Golden Age men and women are invited to attend these meetings at 1:30 at the East Cleve land Woman’s Club 1747 Lake Front ave. George Hefiry Lovett Smith, pro gram annotator of the Cleveland Orchestra and Russel A. Hehr, librarian in the Music Section of Cleveland Public Library will make up the program for the February 26th meeting of the Ohio Music Teachers Association at Higbees. Mr. Smith will tell what can be learned from Mozart and Bach— teachers par excellent and Mr. Hehr will play an original organ arrangement of the “Toy Sym phony” by Mozart, assisted ly the Parma Symphony orchestra. He will also do “Fantasia” by Bach as a solo. Opening their 1954 social calen dar. East Cleveland Kiwanians and their ladies will have a dinner and card party at Crosbys Satur day evening, February 27th. The party is being planned by Chair man Martin Loftus and his com mittee, Fred Greve, John V. Dun can, Adrian Nicholls, George N. Nelson, Dr. Chester J. Schultz, Ralph Kepner and William P. Mul looly. This Friday, February 19th, at 1:30 p. m. at the East Cleveland Library, the fourth and final meeting on the Study of County Government will be held under the direction of Mrs. Raymond Sprenkle. The series is sponsored by the League of Women Voters. Excerpts from Edwin W. Teale’s book “Days Without Time” be discussed by Mrs. E. Williams as the program for February 22nd meeting of Critique Club. Mrs. H. C. Meyer will be the hostess in her home, 1814 Page ave. Mrs. J. J. Richardson, 2181 Delaware rd., will be hostess to the Book and Thimble club Friday, February 26th. Music from Bible Times in the program topic to be presented by Mrs. Mabel Smith. Mixter, professor of zoology and chairman of the division of science at Wheaton College. Dr. Mixter will speak on “Evolution” and show a colored film of the school’s Black Hills, S. Shaw Girls Cage Teams To Play For Conference A girl’s basketball team from Shaw High School has been in vited to play at the Ohio Associa tion of Health Physical Education and Recreation convention Satur day morning, February 20th. The game will be staged on the court at the Cleveland YWCA. Women officials are going to give basketball officiating demon strations. The Shaw girls, Forwards: Nan cy Blough, Sandy Brown, Nancy Erickson, Elaine Forkapa (Cap tain), and Evie Welniak and Guards: Joanne Beyvl, Julie Hatch, Lois Lewis, Darlene Posy, Lee Wellman and Ruth Wolfe will be accompanied by Miss Norma Smith Physical Education instructor at Shaw High School.
