Presi dent Sterling Parker simply made a suggestion that immediately brought the fingers of his entire board pointed at him as they chorused “That’s not PTA”? It’s difficult being the presi dent of this year’s Kirk unit. Every member on its official board is, strange to say, a past president of an elementary school unit. This means that as past presidents they have come up through the ranks and they know their way around In PTA lore. Prexy Parker, naturally admit ted he was toying with the idea of probably, just for once, catching one member off guprd with his comment. but every one was listening attentively. These PTA experts are enjoy ing working together at Kirk, whose PTA membership includes parents from throughout the school district. But once in a while some bit of relaxing interlude such as this comes during the more seri ous consideration of the items the agenda. Interest of the children resulted in thirty-five entries at the meet ing of the Hilltop Garden Club Wednesday afternoon, November 17th when the Club met at the school. Mrs. Joseph M. Neubauer ar ranged the entires judged by a committee from the Garden Club. Janet Dreifort and Sally Olson were “Queens of the Show” for their double first prize awards. Their instructors were Mrs. Joseph Millin, Mrs. William Strong, and Mrs. R. George Goller of the Hilltop Gar den Club. Investiture is an important day to a*Brownie Scout. It means she has earned the right to wear a Brownie pin. Brownie -Troop No. 575 of Rozelle Elementary School received their pins Thursday, No vember 18th after answering the important question “Why do you want to be a Brownie.
