THE EAST OHIO GAS COMPANY KARL BROWN'S Little League "Play Ball'' Just Seven Weeks Away By Bob Keefer It won’t be long now fellas! In just seven weeks the Little Leaguers, Pony Leaguers and Junior Leaguers will be playing for keeps and, from the response to date, the 1955 season should prove to be the biggest one yet. According to League Director Roy H. Wisecup, 450 East Cleve land boys have submitted registra tion forms with more last-minute entries still to be made. Once again, the Little League interest is keen with almost 300 would-be “big leaguers” having already reg istered. Pony League entries have also increased considerably over 1954 but, so far, the anticipated in terest in the proposed Junior League boys (15-17) has not been evidenced. Junior League In Doubt At the present time, only 40 registrations have been received in the Junior League. The manag ing personnel will decide at to night’s meeting at the City Hall whether or not to definitely organ ize a four-team circuit. It is still not too late to submit your name if you have not already done so in any of the three leagues by obtaining a registration form at the East Cleveland Police Dept, and mailing it to Mr. Wise cup at 960 Helmsdale ave.
